The world would honestly be a better place if every single one of those wheels had crushed their skulls.

Result.

Lorry swerves. Moped crashes into it. Rider bales. Wagon is inspected and released without charge, all road legal here old chap. Rider is charged with leaving the scene of an accident regardless of any other offences.

Easy offence to make stick when they finally catch up.

Winner!

Failure to stop and report: 5-10 points. Up to 6 month ban. £5k maximum fine and up to 6 months in jail.

Bingo.

It'd be worth a doing this weeks weekly shop at waitrose to support their funds towards training their HGV drivers in moped rider disablement and approach angles etc to cause maximum skeletal damage! Thumbs Up

Because mooed thieves give a shit about points and bans? Jail time might help, but the rest is a moot point.

Good lad, the wait rose driver, but I'd fully expect to lose my job (bus driver) in a similar situation.

Kinda feel uncomfortable that Dagenham Dave in his 30 ton Wagon is permitted, and encouraged by the social media responses of late to ram a 2 wheeler.

There isn't enough information here to make a judgement either way regarding whether the wagon drivers evidence for acting like this is valid but picture this...

You are riding along a road and a truck veers in front of you and fucks you up. Turns out Dagenham Dave sitting 8ft in the air with a perfect view behind you see a cop car on blues and twos approaching rapidly behind you, you ain't seen it cos it's behind you maybe you ain't heard it yet because you have ear plugs in. Dave reckons he's gonna have him a young crim on his grill. Turns out he he smashes a perfectly innocent biker.

How long does vigilante driver get to make a life of death decision about a situation they almost certainly don't have any of the facts about?

Assuming a closing speed of 60mph, What range to you think he can clearly see what is going on, 50/75m? plus he will need a second to make the maneuver literally 1 or 2 seconds for a truck driver to make up is mind if he should maim/kill a biker.

I'm glad it worked out and it was a fucking nasty bastard that got splatted. But glorify this and half the truckers in the land are gonna be looking for a taste of the action.

I think even "Dagenham Dave" can see the difference between the highly unusual situation of a helmetless yoof bezzing along the pavement, knocking over a copper, swerving into the road with a plod car in pursuit and a normal road user being pulled over.
