engine numbers should be enough,

hopefully. probably hasnt been reframed, just a ringer. find a crashed bike from a similar year and change the plates over and away they go, pretty common.
mot people rarely check the frame numbers on bikes,

Come across a post on facebook from february, another scrote selling the bike. This time it has the current reg visible. Did a hpi check on the reg and its coming up as a 1999 bike in yellow.

Hope you get it back Thumbs Up

Lovely bikes, and the rotax engine is far better than the later suzuki crap engine ccm put in the bike. I raced a tuned twin cam rotax single in the supermono race series from 1987 until 1998 .

Here's hoping you get it back, insurance companies are complete wankers. Who was the insurance company involved ? I had one insurance that in the small writing said 'if you use security devices not listed in the special terms, your bike is uninsured if stolen, you had no lock and you are insured ' MCE trying to run away from cover again!.

I cant remember who it was with unfortunatly. Although if i do get it back it does mean that its all mine, not the insurance companies. Not sure on the chances in getting it back.. but.. hey ho.

You got to keep on at the police. They don't care about getting stolen bikes back, they are interested in high profile jollies abroad looking into crimes of 30 years ago. Get the name of your local police commissioner and see if you can get some urgent pressure, when it's sold you might lose your chance !

Ive rang twice today, each time they said its still not been allocated to an officer.

I have the ringed reg of the bike which presumably it will ve keeping for the forseable. So they hoepfully can track it though that.

If the bike disappears, no proof. Go and see them every day. The other way is go and see the bike as a buyer, check numbers etc. Photo of the seller etc.

There is no limit to the stupidity of today's police force......

They have enough evidence to recover the bike. They are hopefully going to do so tommorow. Then they want me to come and identify it as mine.
