This is just the department which has to invest in foreign currencies, investing in Euro’s from the referendum until now.
This has nothing to do with Brexit, although i’m surprised the BoE thought the Euro was a better bet than the Dollar. Could it not be, you know, without the Remain specs on, that the Euro is a cheaper buy in terms of value, when compared to a climbing US economy? ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

That's a very nearsighted view. It is obvious that as Europeans flee the UK, the British employers now need new people to replace them and as British citizens didn't like those jobs before, all there is left is to raise the wages.
Momentary high demand isn't really something that must dictate the future development.
Czech rep. is in the EU and has the lowest unemployment rate in the whole Europe (not just the EU) and it does well even in the global scale. Does that automatically mean the EU is awesome, or do we take into consideration other factors as well? ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Which is exactly what's happening in the Czech republic...
Quote: | However, the root causes of the recent success of the Czech Republic can be harbingers of future trouble. The rise in salaries is a cause for concern and according to Marek, wages are rising due to the scarcity of labor. This labor shortage is stopping the economy from growing even faster. As in many states, the Czech Republic also faces an aging population base and bureaucratic difficulties that make it hard for companies to employ foreign workers.
Marek claims that the Czech Republic cannot afford to allow itself to raise wages faster than the overall productivity. According to him, the Czech Republic is the assembly line hub of Europe, not its knowledge and innovation hub. What this means is that the Czech Republic has many low wage, low skill jobs, but it is not developing the skills and knowledge required to significantly improve productivity, for example through more sophisticated processes. |

Hang on a minute, so it's bad when it happens in the UK, but awesome in the Czech Republic?
I'd suggest that the Czech Republic is growing so fast as the average wage in only around 1,000 Euro's a month at present. This is what the EU does, it enables and encourages wealth and production to be stolen from the richer countries, to drag us down to the level of the poorer countries, until we all meet in the middle. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Whether that is the case or not, no one predicted it. Not even Itchy Remember, our economy is supposed to have collapsed by now. The EU is like the nucleus of a Uranium atom.
It's got bigger and bigger and more unstable, wobbling like one of those massive bubbles you used to blow.
It would only take one feisty little Neutron to fire itself at the nucleus and the whole thing's gonna blow sky high! |

Must have taken a while for someone to copy paste job losses and equate them all falsely to Brexit. I mean take a real biggie, Rolls Royce: Maybe, just maybe the job losses are more to do with Trent engine reliability issues and cutting back middle management to compensate. But no, all due to Brexit (insert eye roll emoji). ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125 "Vara" > Kawasaki ER6F "Smerf" > Triumph Sprint ST 1050 |
