people that want constant updates as to my physical location in a house

Always calling out asking where I am, or where I have gone. This mostly happens at the in-laws houses, and is generally limited to Christmas, weddings and funerals. But, why the need for a constant update on my location? It's not just me, cos if I am in their presence, they will be asking me where so and so has got to. Why?

Making my way home on the trains after an excellent afternoon of crown green bowling (an annual event) and boozing (more than annual Wink ) at the work's social club with the lads from work. All good so far. I'm looking up at the timetable when I see my CCTV image from above and behind, showing my emerging bald spot to maximum effect. Getting old. Crying or Very sad Oh, and my journey in was delayed by an hour thanks to Thameslink's uselessness.

Last time I was minding Robbie, about two weeks ago, I was lying in bed in the dark and I heard a soft thud then nothing. The house was empty, Robbie never comes upstairs and Max the naughty Irish Terrier had gone home, so no dog shenanigans were afoot.

I lay awake for half an hour or so, imagining a HUGE spider having dropped from somewhere and making its way surreptitiously towards my bed, but eventually I fell asleep and forgot about it.

Last night, back at Robbie's for a short bank holiday dogsitting stint I stepped into the ensuite bathroom for a late night wee, and there it was, waiting for me in the bath.

Its leg span was at least the width of a BCF coffee mug Shocked

Ordinarily I try to leave spiders, even big ones, to go about their business if they are not annoying me. But this one was heading right towards me, very fast and with a determined look in every eight of its eyes (which I could almost see, it was so damn big! ...) ... and even if I fucked off and slept downstairs on the sofa, I didn't want to spend another night wondering whether it had managed to get out of the bath and was heading towards me again to the tune of Nosferatu.

Took me fucking ages to spritz it into submission with Cif and wash it down the plughole with boiling water.

Nothing needs eight eyes and eight legs, nothing.

If it fits through the plughole it's a mere baby.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I had to use the handle of the hairbrush belonging to the lady of the house, to assist it on it's journey down the plughole.

I'm always frighteningly paranoid that they are going to cling onto hairs hanging from the plughole and crawl back up with whatever legs aren't broken, to come and get me.

I couldn't decide whether to pay for my bike insurance in full or pay monthly.

Knowing that to get the DD at the start of the month i have to start the policy circa the middle of the month.

Decided to pay in full but didn't change the start date back to today Crying or Very sad Mad

3 weeks to go then i guess Middle Finger Thumbs Down

(i know i can cancel the policy and start a new one but i can't be bothered with the hassle now)

None of that Czech fizzy shit!

Ale, casked. Bitter. I can drink Guinness all day but lager is too fizzy for me these days. Partial to the odd Corona or three though.

Even if you put the plug in, it's offspring will flood from the overflow and swarm your nostrils and ears in your sleep, they're very vengeful. Sweet dreams Wink

There's a few CAMRA pubs around here (North, specifically Wrexham). No idea about the South, I try to avoid it unless I really have to go there, they're a funny lot down there.

In Wrexham centre, you're spoilt for choice, there's (roughly) 10 within wobbling distance of each other.

Edit:-
Here you go. One has closed, but the rest are accurate, from a quick glance.

Had an email today that irritated me. You know that immensely funny SKY 1 show Trollied? well there is no season 8, SKY have cancelled it. One more hour long Christmas special to look forward to and that's it.

Woe is me.

The Turf is one of the few I haven't drank in - But I hate football, so that's why. It's meant to be decent enough.

They should be able to tell you those in Town that are decent and they may go to. I like the Nags Head - Hobgoblin on tap.
