Do you reckon you have done better than investing your money in interest paying accounts?

my front mount intercooler arrived yesterday.

should be £300 off japspeed website.

bought what looked very similar unbranded off eBay for £153 thanks to 40% off and 15% voucher posted on here the other day.

arrived and lo-and-behold it says JapSpeed on the box.

Winning.

I would say so.The returns if I had left the money in an ordinary savings account would have been minimal Neutral

I'm in the middle of a rather extreme diet at the moment. I've dropped over a stone and a half in 4 weeks,
a week of that I was on holiday and not being all that careful. It was prompted by me buying a rather nice used but
as new jacket a while ago that should have fit me.

https://i.imgur.com/6mRtE0M.jpg

Despite being a 44 inch chest it was too small. There was a good couple of inches between both halves of the zip
at stomach level, although it was tight it went round my chest. I had to suck in and hold it to get the damn thing done
up and it was anything but comfortable. Well, I'm in it now. I'm not quite done yet, I prefer to be on the lighter side of
average weight if I'm honest as I have a LOT of clothes stored that I haven't worn for a while because they were too tight
with me at the higher weight. But the jacket, whilst snug (as it should be) goes on just fine. It's nice when you can see the
effort paying off. I will not flump off into middle age without a fucking fite. Middle Finger Cool Middle Finger

After my recent shitty luck with having my bike nicked and cutting my Eurotrip short I think I was due some good karma my way!

My mum surprised me with a spa treatment so I have just had a wonderful back, neck and shoulder massage. Feel very chilled now Cool

And I took on some additional work back in June and they finally sent through my last payslip just now, so come Friday I will get a significant wodge of cash in my account.

Did a lot of brazing at work today.
Last time I did anything like that was over ten years ago.

From another thread: fixed the microwave with a less-than-£1 part (12A ceramic fuse). Many people scrap them due to not knowing.

RhynoCZ: I particularly like fixing things marked with "No user servicable parts inside", although this wasn't such an occasion Smile

Yarp. Oxyacetylene, nice soft flame as I was working on some pretty thin material.

*Must admit, the first few jobs did look like pigeon shit but then it started coming back to me.

had a whole week of oily gears

mainly because of good pubs/food etc but also because of seeing dolphins just off the coast
watching a kingfisher catch and eat fish
seeing the sea and being able to paddle

eating chips by the sea also helped Very Happy

Removing the petrol tank of the latest 125 and finding a spider with a long small body and very long legs on the underside of it tending to a lot of little spiders, about 50, with proportionately long small bodies and long legs. I won't need the tank for a while, so put it careully in a shed.
