I'm going to change internet providers soon, not sure who yet but my email for my boat work, < Insert email here > is a web based address hosted by Yahoo for BT (I think) Embarassed

Will I still be able to access it or is it on a bt server and will be lost when I change providers?

Edit - Forget that. I've just found it's now BT mail not BT yahoo so I presume that is a BT server. Bugger.

If that's a real email address you've just posted, you really don't want to be displaying it on a public forum unless you're seriously in need of meeting beautiful girls from Russia or want your willy enlarging...

When you change provider, do yourself a favour and buy yourself a suitable domain name - it looks much more professional, plus you'll never be tied to a particular internet provider again. It's not expensive (and tax-deductible anyway), and dead easy to do.

Could do with both TBH Laughing

I don't really understand what the problem is stating it though, my email is readily available on many sites and links.

Anyway it's all going to get changed soon. Thumbs Up

If I send a PM, should it appear in my "Sentbox", or just in my "Outbox"?

OK, thanks. Sending a PM seems to involve a slow process. I just mentioned "flower plots" to the OP (they're not *his*). No idea whether or not he's read the PM:)

It stays in your outbox until it's been read.

I have a btopenworld email, had it for about 15 years and never been with BT. Although my dad keeps telling me there’s no such thing as openworld now and I should be saying @btinternet.com

OK thanks. Very odd, IMO. Still, the OP's read it which is the main thing.

I still have a btmail email address even though I dumped all of their services over 3 years ago. Mine is hosted on Yahoo although it's a btinternet.com address.

Be very careful if leaving BT for another broadband provider and you still want access to your email.

It is possible, but you need to pay for BT Premium mail and it is £7.50 per month.
