Hello.

I need help to diagnose an issue I've recently had with my motorcycle.

I've attached a video of the sound coming from my motorcycle and would really appreciate any advice anyone could provide about what the problem could be?

The motorcycle starts and runs fine, but just today it has started making this sound. (sometimes it stalls) and a concerning amount of smoke is coming from the exhaust. This engine has been newly installed, it's only done about 20,000 miles, and has been refurbished from new. (Engine was bought and installed preowned, from a reputable dealer). So I can't believe, and I hope it's nothing serious to do with the engine.

it's burning oil, back to the garage i'm afraid. The piston rings are probably knackered. Could well be donar engine rather than a rebuild

No one think it's an exhaust leak? Tapping sounds like air escaping at the manifold. would explain rich running and additional smoke.

Opinion?

It sounds terrible and it's burning oil. I wonder what "refurbished" means; could mean "externally cleaned"; you should be able to see if it has been taken apart by looking at it carefully. Has it done any miles since you put in this second-hand engine?
