hi everyone i have a problem with my yamaha xj 600n 1998 my right front and back indictors flash too fast but when i put hazard lights on they flash normal speed can anyone explain how to fix this please and thanks in advance. i have only just bought the bike and have a few things i need to fix so hoping you guys can help

the left front and rear work fine flashing at normal speed

Sounds like a difference in the bulb wattage on the right side.

I was thinking that but when I put the hazard lights on they flash at the same speed

There is possibly a short on the right indicators lowering the resistance of them.

While the left indicators are fine.

So when you put the hazards on the resistance balances out.

I'd be checking the wiring around the indicators to as wire may have frayed through on one of them.

Well I have just checked the left front bulb and it's a 21w and then checked the front right and it was a tiny 5w bulb so replace it with a 21w bulb and now the right indicators work fine at the same speed as the left side. So all good thanks for the help guys
