It's a new bike with just 900miles on the clock. It's the fully manual not the DCT version.
I have a problem with the engine noise, it just doesn't sound like a Honda. Anyone got one? Comments?

The engine by the way is half a Jazz engine hence the NC tag (new concept). I like the bike generally, but I may end up selling it over this issue.

Hello, a video (audio) recording of the engine running would help us help you, but at the same time, as you say it's a brand new machine, just go back to the dealer.

The engine sounds normal at standstill even with a bit of revving. It's when your loading the engine it occurs. The dealership says yes..."it's the characteristics of the bike sir". Just wander if any other owners on here have the same nag.

If you seperatae the transmission noise out, that's pretty much what I've got.
The bike in the video sounds sounds as though it's ready for the scrap pile. Laughing

It doesn't "sound like a Honda". Are you joking?

Does a Goldwing sound the same as a CBR250RR at 20k rpm?

To me a Honda should sound a bit more precision than my engine, the same as a Goldwing and a cbr250rr at 20krevs. Precision sound is the only thing generic about Honda, IMHO.

Always a pleasure, never a chore.

(I left in your fucked up quoting for the same reason, btw.)

I spoke to top mechanic today, he agrees that it may need a coat of looking at. He test rode it and was not convinced it was normal.

I will report back any interesting findings.
