I had a look at a scooter/ moped that doesn't start and needs RWC/ rego (the engine turns over but doesn't start, they are selling for $300 and I offered $200, do you think it is worth the price/ risk to get it repaired and registered etc? Its an SYM Jolie 2003 50cc with 17,000km, the owner also stated it needs a new exhaust.

I also looked at a piaggio zip 50 2015 also unregistered for $900

Does your keyboard not have £ or are you from the jolly old USofA?

Presuming you are British & talking pounds -

1. No, unless you know exactly whats wrong and how much it costs to fix. If it's cheap, why haven't they fixed it and then sold a working bike for more cash?

2. Why is it unregistered? Is there no V5? No numberplate? Is it nicked?

It's cheap for a reason so unless you're good at diagnosing and fixing broken 50cc peds then it's not a good buy for you.

If the zip for $900 works then that's a much better deal. Laughing

Reggo means they're almost certainly from Australia.
