The guy who's old moped I fixed up bought a Lexmoto Urban scoot
a little while ago.
He asked me fit an alarm plus build something to carry his delivery box.

He mentioned not wanting to put cold drinks in with hot food
so some way to carry pop bottles and such externally would be nice also for extra storage of his snacks, bike cover and stuff.

I really didn't fancy having it hanging way off the back from its skinny frame
but the seat has to be lifted to refuel.
Hmmm.
I sketched out an idea to keep weight inboard as much as possible whilst
allowing it to lifted while refueling and he says go for it.

I made 12mm ply base with seat cut out and another hinged platform on top of that
to mount the box on.
I also added front and sides to attach bungees and cargo nets.
The delivery box is a pretty flimsy affair on its own so the front and sides will give some bracing and protection I hope.
I cut out material to keep the weight down.
The indicators in the rear light cluster looked like they'd be somewhat obscured by the box so I added repeaters on the outside edges.

He called round the other day for me to fix a mirror.
It's been doing good service so far and he's happy with it

Yep,all ply with joints using external PVA and dowelling.
Even though it was external grade, after assembly I sealed it with thinned down varnish and gave it a few coats of some silver paint I had here.
I had to mount it to the exisiting tail rack fixings as he wasnt into me hacking away the plastics and welding more robust mounts on the frame.
The 'tipper body' has straps underneath so when it's lifted it wont fall back too far.
