Is anyone else getting pissed off with Neil Hodgson on BT Sport coverage?
His jokey Jack the lad, smug style is really putting me off. I don't mind a bit of it but when 80% of his output is 'aren't I a clever funny one of the lads bloke' I don't want to hear it. Much prefer Heuwen and Toseland who actually give some insight.

OGR.

I think Jamie Whitham should commentate on MotoGP as well as BSB.

He's very funny but obviously knows his stuff.

A highlight would be Jamie interviewing MM.

I'd pay good money to have Huewen eat his own head.

Perry can go.
Hodgson is borderline.
Edwards can go.
Huewen is borderline.

At one time Perry had good contacts with top riders and got extra airtime with them. Now the top riders are contractually obliged to give x amount of interviews to each media provider....Perry is surplus.

Neil is the clown but not that good at it but he does occasionally do on-board lap explanations which I enjoy.

Colin is a vacuous goon who either chooses not to explain technical details like he's still under some non disclosure contract or he just sits on the fence....says boom too often.

Keith I can take or leave similar to Toby Moody et al. They're loud and reactive...yer typical sports commentator the world over.

Gav...Multilingual with too much knowledge to lose...the fence is firmly wedged up his crack.

Laverty...technical eye, conveys details.

Toseland...See above...plus as an air of honesty about him. Watched him in a TV sports challenge series and he went way up in my estimation.

Seems like we all have similar gripes about them. However, when you hear some football or rugby commentators inane, bland drivel, we arent doing too bad!

Silverstone debacle and the time filling actually was more interesting than I thought it would be.

Probably one of the reasons I stopped watching any motorcycle racing, James Whit is OK, I liked Jack Burnicle, and the bloke who covers the TT, the rest of them are bland. Hodgson and Haydon boil my piss to be honest.

I quite like Colin Edwards and Toseland has improved massively of late. Overall it's far from terrible.

Whitham is my favourite. Huewen's ok, if a bit up himself. No one else stands out as particularly good. Either not enough knowledge, or not enough experience in broadcasting for the rest.

I liked Toby Moodie when he partnered the vomit-worthy Julian Ryder but Moodie and Whitham would suit me nicely. I've actually watched the bike racing on the telly with the sound on 'mute' to cut out the irritating childish wildly over-excited prattle. Worse than Murray-soddin'-Walker.
