A sad story, but at least they nicked it and didn't totally wreck it/field bike it.
Same couldn't be said for my dads CB250 that got nicked last year - this is what he got back when it was recovered a few weeks later;

2013 subaru wrx quarter mile
He said if he had seen it sitting in the yard first he wouldn't have paid the ~£150 quid to have it released.
It was in standard, good nick when it was taken! |

Sorry to say but that looks better in my opinion than standard. If he sells it pm me the price. Depending on price I'd be interested.

Hey sort out the rear end neaten it up and it wouldn't look that bad. Just a bobber cb 250 similar to the one I've included.
Some classics look better butchered if that offends so be it.
