So how much did you end up settling for with the insurance company?

And did you find a suitable replacement?

£3300 - replacement is a landscaped garden. Rolling Eyes

Just the trusty NC700 for now. Looking to get a CB1000R in the [probably distant] future though - all fun cash seems to be going on childcare at the moment.

Nice to have some closure! How much did you manage to wrangle from the insurance?

A sad story, but at least they nicked it and didn't totally wreck it/field bike it.

Same couldn't be said for my dads CB250 that got nicked last year - this is what he got back when it was recovered a few weeks later;

He said if he had seen it sitting in the yard first he wouldn't have paid the ~£150 quid to have it released.

It was in standard, good nick when it was taken!

Sorry to say but that looks better in my opinion than standard. If he sells it pm me the price. Depending on price I'd be interested.

Funny but no.

We've got a new frame to graft onto the old one and other new bits to rebuild it.

This is your brain on Autism.

Seriously Sammy are you just trying to be obtuse? Do you really think that an amateur Mad Max job on a clean and standard bike makes it better than stock?

You know when a vulnerable person gets inducted into a religious cult? You know people say "I'm not sure how it happened... "

Well, see Sammy and Rat bikes...

Different strokes for different folks, even if that stroke happens to be the dragged behind a pickup on a dirt road for 100 miles "look" I guess.

Hey sort out the rear end neaten it up and it wouldn't look that bad. Just a bobber cb 250 similar to the one I've included.

Some classics look better butchered if that offends so be it.

^^^ That is an utter abortion that includes the afterbirth^^^

Did they run out of bitumen because they forgot the headlight, which, incidently, is the only thing on that bike I'd buy.
