50w SMD LED PIR floodlight for front garden. I replace the halogen lamped unit every couple of years as some
part or other fails on the basis that they are a bit cheap and poorly made. I have some LED lights in the back
garden and have been impressed by how well they light up the place so I'm giving this a go. £23.99 If it's good I'll
have a couple more because black dog, crap night vision and dark garden.

Interested in this one if LED floods are indeed better than halogen in terms of output.
I've often thought about replacing and regularly get emails from 7days shop advertising them at pretty good prices.

Although I posted yesterday, it actually arrived yesterday. Big heat sink on the back, very robust physically and
quite weighty. It comes pre wired but you can get the back off to reveal an ordinary "lego" style terminal block
inside so you can easily run your own wire through the gland and directly into the lamp. Front glass looks
nice and high quality too. The sensor has 3 settings rather than the more typical 2. Lux, time and sensitivity and the
sensor itself swivels in more or less any direction which is good as before next door moving about in their front garden
would trigger my light. According to the box the unit provides 4000lm of light. I will fit it next week when the rain has gone.
I just want reliable, maintenance free and a reduction in electricity used vs the more typical 500w halogen lamps.
But looking at the unit in just a physical sense, seems very well made for what it is.

It doesn't seem the LEDs quite provide 10x the light per watt I think - I don't have any 50w ones, but do have 20w/30w.
However, if it's an ok model, should keep going for a lot longer and still be much better on light/Watt (I've got some 5/10W 12v ones that were cheap, but terrible and don't last as long as incandescent bulbs Sad ).

That doesnt make it a good idea. Get a proper job and let these bikes be scrapped. 500 quid minus parts and your time is less than nothing.

Although I just used the word 'light' to avoid those issues, lumens is the overall light output, while lux is the intensity at one point I believe.

So for a flood light lumens is probably more useful - lux will depend on how close you are measuring the light, for instance. While lumens represents the overall light output of the device.

As we're talking efficiency, it's the ratio of overall light output to watts of electricity used that's important.

He's a Bergamasco - an Italian sheepdog used as both flock guardian and herding dog. As an adult he'll look something like this:

These are bred by introducing Dulux dogs to reggae from an early age.

Using the 'Img' button, it even gives you a helpful tooltip below it!

And back to the drawing board, changed mind. Laughing 18-23mpg, two oil changes a year and silly expensive parts
were the main reason for the U-turn. It's taken a week to get our deposit back. Looking at a few different but similar
options. Nissan X-trail, Honda CRV or Mazda CX5. Just with slightly more sensibubble engines and better tech. We have
Xenons on the Swift and I MUST have them on the next car too. My night vision is shite.

My nifty is a bit tired; these are half the price and get better reviews in a good few areas, so worth a go hopefully.

New Boots.

My A*s Tech 3s are getting a bit worn and my winter trousers don't fit over them. I end up with wet feet every time it rains.
