The weathers starting to close in and I’ve been fecking nowhere on my bike this year Mad

Lack of money means outings/trips are not happening.
So much for the grand plan I had at the beginning of the year Middle Finger

The sum total of my excitement this year has been a local bike show, “oh whoope do!”

Bored bored bored bored fugging bored!

Go fix that thing you've been putting off fixing. Then when you can ride your bike you wont be thinking "I should have fixed that thing".

I find on call weekends a godsend because I can get caught up with routine motorcycle maintainance in the downbtime without thinking I could be doing something else.

We old uns are made of sterner stuff. I have only had one break in my life which was my ankle. Broke it on a Friday night, at a mates house after a beer and spliff too many. Drove home on the Saturday afternoon after a 2hour battle to get sock
and shoe back on it. Pressing brake pedal in car hurt like fuck so dropped my mate off first then drove home mainly
using handbrake gently to reduce speed.

Hobbled in to our second floor flat after climbing 4 flights of stairs, mrs grr said "what TF have you done to your ankle?!?"

"Just a sprain" I said "Just need to rest it"

Sunday morning, foots gone a bit black with bruising but I continue to insist it's just a sprain.

"Would I be able to do this if it was broken?" and start hopping round our kitchen on the broken ankle. Laughing

Decide Sunday not a good day to go to A&E because of footballists injuring themselves and don't fancy the wait.

Stoicism FTW Thumbs Up

When I broke my leg I was walking around on it for 8 days protesting that it's just a bad sprain. I had to go to the GP to pick up a line after my 7 days self certification had run out and he sent me straight to the local A&E despite my standing on my broken leg with the good one off the ground giving it lots of "well if it were broken surely I wouldn't be able to do this".

Spiral fracture of the fibula... Laughing

People flashing headlights to high beam to say thank you.
Yes it lets me know you appreciate it but I'm also left temporarily blind - far better is to quickly flick headlights to sidelights as a way of saying thank you.

Interesting. Am considering Nissan X trail at the moment after bailing out of the Scoobydoo purchase. Along with Honda
CRV and Mazda CX5. I have heard there have been some problems with the start/stop on the Nissan but nowt about chassis
weakness. Thinking

I wouldn't buy a Nissan because of the cheese cam chains they fitted to their Micras and never acknowledged there was a problem.

I don't mind a company making mistakes but to bury your head in the sand is unacceptable.

I think it was some pick up truck models that had chassis weakness?

I'd read about that when considering a cheap Micra (with the hips). Seems chains fail at 70k miles - very very bad that. A vehicle should last way longer than that.

Terrano.

It's our recently acquired Cyprus car. Turned out to be a bit lemony Thinking

It's just back from a €500 fuel pump rebuild and by process of €€ elimination we've discovered that the front-end vibration at certain speeds is not tyres/wheels/tracking but a dirty great crack where the front sub-frame/chassis joins the bottom suspension arm.

It's fixable/weldable but our garage cant do it before 12th November because the Cypriot mechanic is going on a Guinness tour of Ireland Wasted Wasted and we don't trust anyone but him Sad

Meantime, we've stopped using it because danger Crying or Very sad

If you and Sid drive round wearing clown costumes, at least you'll look in character if it disintegrates while driving into the local village.

Been in Delhi since yesterday and I swear I will never again complain about British driving. Everybody filters, even busses. A dual carriageway just means there’s space for four cars to squeeze up. If they fits, they sits.
Light goes green and people two lanes over will just swerve for their turn.

But, Royal Enfields are everywhere here and they sound so nice, I think I want one.

lol I feel the pain..

My day was, a once walk around the workshop, back to my office to play Assassins Creed Origins, then a bit of Jeremy Kyle on the iplayer. Then the big boss came to get me at 12 oclock to play some table tennis. Did that for 45 minutes, then back to the office for more ACO, and 4.15 got the driver to take me back to my hotel.

Same tomorrow I expect lol.. can get boring Rolling Eyes

Cars (and wives) Evil or Very Mad

My C Max - 4 new tyres, new discs all round, new pads, tracking, geometry etc. etc. £840. Crying or Very sad

And to rub it in, wifie curbed her Megane Cabriolet, shredded the tyre and that doesn't have a spare, just goo. So out with the jack, wheel off, drive to garage, get new tyre, drive back and fit, drive to wifies work, pick her up and take to the car. Get home, give her bill for £78 quid.

'I'm broke this month, can i pay you next month. 'yes dear, of course dear'. That's the last I'll see of that. Brick Wall

I pointed it out to the missues and she replied well there is less than 100 days to xmas Doh!, to which i replied exactly over three fucking months

It should be illegal to sell Christmas goods before Halloween. Its parasitic
