Can anyone find the pre-planning consultation on the Powys county council website? Confused

These are all the planning details for Rhyd-blawd Farm and there's nothing about a motocross track.

Why would there be, there has been a MotoX track there for Donkey's years, so no change of use issues, therefore there will be no planning required for that.
Is this not the site where the Welsh 2 day Enduro starts and finishes?
I imagine any planning issues will be around any new buildings being proposed on site!

Pre-planning consultation, there's a clue in there, why would Powys publish anything that has not got to the, actual, planning stage, there's nothing to report on until a formal application is made.

Quote:
A full planning application will be made for the nine-hectare site, which will include luxury treehouse accommodation for visitors, a visitor experience centre and on-site shop.

The centre will be based around the existing motocross course at the site

Quote:
The project will see plans submitted to extend the terms of use of the existing course

Should have, actually, read the article, nobcat boy, It's all there, FFS!

Rolling Eyes

Calm down. Laughing

I asked because lots of pre planning consultations get published.

Also, there'll be a planning app from when the site first changed to being a motocross track.

There's been a MotoX track there since at least the 60's, there will be no planning application for it. Even if it had been made in the 80's, which it wasn't, the fact is the records don't even go back as far as the to 80's!

Guess how I know.

Laughing

Calm down.

Guess how you know? The fact is, records of planning apps do go back as far as the 80's, I know that for a fact because I'm being provided with some from the 70's. Wink

I only asked since the pre planning consultation could be interesting, there's no need to get aggressive. Sad

If there's nothing to report on until a formal application is made then isn't this thread completely redundant?

Tracey, How can e-bikes provide the same level of riding experience as a conventional petrol engine? I think it will lack the power.

Try a KTM freeride E - plenty guts to have fun with off road. Instant torque. I've used them a few times at a local track. Just because it's electric doesn't mean it's not capable. Look at the Tesla model S that can do 0-60 quicker than some litre bikes. Impressive for a big heavy car.

Torque. Lots of it, and it's instant.

You do know they're not powered by a 9v motor powered drawing it's power from one of those batteries you used to get people to stick on their tongue when you were a kid !

What nonsense you have put written there

They suddenly realised that it rains too much in Wales, so Electric motors would be shorting out all the time.... Laughing

We still have (arguably) the best roads on this island, despite North Wales Police forces best efforts. Wink

Possibly true but we're talking about a motocross track rather than public roads...

My issue with E-Bikes is calling them "clean". The carbon foot print of an E-Bike is massive. If you just said alternative power, then fine, but clean power is just wrong. Trading standards should get involved.

The few sunny weekends per year there would be awesome on a bike.
Probably even on an E-Bike, but sitting in the rain next to an E-Bike which has got water in its system probably wouldn't be quite so amazing... Laughing

I'd only have concerns about the electrics if you do something like this:

The sound of a petrol bike is part of the overall experience. Riding a bike that is virtually noiseless is not my cup of tea if I'm being honest.
