Parts listed for this Carburettor some times shows Tapered Needle Spring and Control Cable Spring, other places show just the taper needle spring. Are both springs required or just one?.

I am restoring a 1950's James Autocycle with a Villiers 2F engine, but unfortunately a lot of the small parts are missing, including the throttle cable and the spring(s)

Your help would be much appreciated.

It is common to have a throttle return spring, from memory a tapered needle spring is to stop it flapping about under vibration and wearing its parts. Maybe an old biro pen spring may help or other light spring.
