Hi everyone,
I have an MT09 2017 with a full Akrapovic exhaust and I recently went to a garage to fit a power commander V on it.
So it was fitted, put on a dyno and got tottal of 128 bhp a gain of 12bhp.

I just want to know your opinion on this result.

Thank you

I'd be slightly worried about it appearing to be running leaner than it was before, given that modern bikes are tuned to run a bit lean already. But I'm no expert. Other than that ... meh. How does it feel?

Before it was popping a lot but now not so much. So I thought was running rich.
Running too lean or this lean can be a problem?

Edit: I got confused rich vs lean. Sorry.

I'm not an expert either but are you sure it's leaner? Before it was popping a lot but now not so much.
One of the reasons i wanted a PCV was because with the full exhaust was running lean already and popping a lot.

Popping means rich, it's unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust.

You don't need a PCV to flash the MT09 btw, bit late now I know.

Many companies do it with the stock ECU with Woolwich, they can control the fueling properly through the ECU. They can also disable the AIS, remove the speed limiter etc which I don't believe a power commander can.

What other mods do you have? 128bhp at the rear wheel seems very generous.

I was told by HM Racing that it would be better to go with PCV because there can be problems with flashing ecu. That's why I went with PCV.

At the moment the mods I have it's just a full Akrapovic exhaust with a short (sliced) DB killer.

Most seem to get around 118 to 120bhp at the rear wheel with a full system (baffle out) and an ECU map.

Have they quoted you a crank figure maybe? Still seems high though.

Assuming the blue line is the new one, it's running richer, not leaner. More consistent, too.

Yeah, sorry you're right. I was thinking Fuel/Air ratio when it clearly says Air/Fuel ... doh!
