Casio do some really nice watches, I saw the Edifice range when passing through Moscow duty free for the first time. I got mine(below) also because it is solar and accurate.

Woop it arrived!

Beautifully made, but weighs a ton. A little bigger than I expected.
Need to get the strap made much shorter!

That I admit is one thing that puts me off the diver style watch, they are big and heavy and as I don't go diving, I don't need one. Laughing

nicw looking watch though.

Rotary used to make some nice mechanical watches. I have a few of them, either ones that were made in Switzerland or their Dolphin range which is way better quality.

Their standard range is cheap tat now as you say, Chinese movement and says Since 1865 instead of Swiss Made on the dial.

However their Original range (which is what Ashley pictured) is still made in Switzerland and is reasonably decent quality though nothing like the higher echelons of watch making.

It's fair to say you don't have good taste though, isn't it Laughing

Seiko are superb and the quality of my little SARB033 daily absolutely shits on watches costing 3x as much.

I've been on the lookout for a SARD011 with the Urushi lacquer dial - it's an absolute belter of a piece. Can't find one from a reputable enough source at the moment but when one pops up....

They supply them with the NATO strap or your own?

I have a G10 last of the proper Swiss made CWC ones (dated 06). They cost to much so the MOD switched to a cheaper Pulsar/Seiko design. The "MWC" ones you see people wearing are not the real deal and were never supplied to the MOD.

On a green strap, my old issued grey one broke long ago. The Tritium has yellowed over time, still has some luminosity though. It could do with a refurb really, I've had it from new and it's had a hard life.
