Hi all,
I am doing a complete rebuild on a Honda CBF 500 (2004 year), it was rusted to hell when i got it but everything is going fine in the restore but I got a little problem, the old radiator has more leaks than the titanic and even a profession radiator repair shop said to scrap it. The problem with that is a new Honda CBF 500 radiator costs around 300 to 500 pounds new.

This is a bit of a slap in the face so i could either find a second hand radiator if i am lucky the bike is rarer than usual and the new radiator could break in a couple of years.
So my plan was to use a Honda CB 500 radiator as a alternative replacement, the CB radiator is slightly smaller by a little and some of the brackets are a little different but i could weld on some new brackets. The Cb 500 radiator is only 70 to 120 pound which is so much cheaper.

Dose anyone think this is possible or do you reckon ill overheat the bike, would love to hear your guys and girls though on the matter. |

If you're worried about the cooling capacity and you're confident you can modify the brackets, how do the radiators from larger capacity Hondas compare to your original? ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |
