I purchased one of the Bluetooth OBD2 sensor things a while back to deal with a car issue.
i never got around to using it.

i need to take a look at the fault on the girls car.
and im keen to know what software anyone might be using ?

is there a decent free one ?
or which one is the most user friendly ?

Cheers
Colin.

EODB-Facile is a good one for IOS and Windows. Will only read EML though, not other modules.

i need to be able to reset the air bag warning light on a Pug 107.
is this something that's going to be doable with one of the older ELM327 units ?

Erm... Yeah I only use Android because it does everything over Bluetooth.

You could find a dodgy copy of Palmer Performance - PCMSCAN

I had a copy before which let me do various things, clear lights etc etc. Otherwise yeah I just Android that shit.

Agreed^ I couldn't switch off the airbag light using ELM tool on my Civic, it used a specific tool from honda into the 'wrong' port.

Could bodge it with a pen lid and foil but wasn't worth the risk.

Not sure what Peugeot use tbh, but I doubt you'll get much joy trying to read and clear faults from the airbag module with an EML327 dongle.

All my investigation this afternoon would make you right.
the more expensive units also seem to support something called EODB as well as ODBII / ODB2 which allows for the resetting of Airbags ABS SRS and the like.

still looking.

I had to (well, I wanted to really) buy a VCDS (VAG-COM) module for my Skoda.

Pulling the airbag fuse by mistake when installing the dash cam hardwire kit set the airbag warning off and no chance to reset it without this module.

Set me back £200 but allows for three VINs to be used, so will be useful on my mates VW.

If I can get it for free, I will. Save pennies for food and buffets.
