If you saw my post about a narcissistic ex (turns out she'd BPD, the narcissism is just a part of it) and problems I had...Well it came to a head recently where she just denied all access, and I felt I would never see my baby girl again, it almost broke me. Luckily, I eventually got help and now have access again...but when I was low, I wrote a song to try and help (not sure it really did, but it's a form of venting)
I thought it turned out quite well, and thought I'd share. Feel free to roast or toast lol:D

Borderline Personality Disorder? That figures as most sufferers are female. 70% or thereabouts.
It's a tough card to be dealt for either half of a couple tbh. It's just as trying living with it as living with someone who
has it. It's Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is the best way to come to terms with it and learn how to live with the
disorder, meds don't work and there's not much that can be done about it other than learning new behavioural patterns.

You sound like Chris Rea.

The meds will be to calm her down a bit, but they aren't linked to "fixing" BPD. The CBT is what will make a difference if anything.
It's a very complex illness and takes a long time to change the hard wiring that comes with it.

Oh I know, I assume the therapy is CBT, or is it DBT? it's been a while...
I used to work in mental health for ages, that's why I must have been blind, you'd think I would have noticed...

Should be DBT, therefore would expect the NHS to provide CBT and that's if she ever makes it to the front of the waiting list.

Which anti psychotic has she been prescribed?
