In reality nobody uses a television for lighting as the image flickers and annoys, so perhaps he was sat on the sofa with a box of tissues and the telly turned down so nobody else would hear?

I can't imagine it was the Irish lady, so am guessing Ms Abbot was the object of his onanistic pleasure that night...

Just saying...

My summary:

Barry Gardiner - Labour MP and shadow International Trade Secretary. Repeater of the Party line...

Tim Stanley - Historian and regular newspaper commentator. Wind-up merchant...

Mark Serwotka - General Secretary of the Public and Commercial Service Union. Anti Tory naturally, no ideas of his own, thinks Labour could do better...

Liz Saville Roberts - Plaid Cymru's leader in Westminster. Taffy bird. Anti Brexit...

Claire Perry - Tory MP and Conservative Business and Energy Minister. To defend TM's plan, on a hiding to nothing...

A mixed panel therefore.

Seemed to me to be 4-1 remainers to brexiteers

And Claire Perry. What a smug and smarmy person.
She seemed to lose her smug grin when she realised she'd gone a bit too far with her personal jibes at Corbyn.

And to Dimbleby early on when she said, "I know you don't like women speaking."! The problem was she wouldn't let others speak.

What is the Labour Party line on Brexit? “We would have got a stupendous deal honest, but we’re secretly so relieved we haven’t had to negotiate.”

I can only assume this research was BBC funded.

That's the danger of the organisation you fund Wink They tell everyone they're impartial and unbiased, then push their left wing diversi-wank agenda down everyone's throat.

Jimbo - I do believe that the Labour Party line has been a consistent one throughout. Six clear tests to be met and nothing less. Trouble is, they are not six things the EU would agree on in a million years...

No. The official Labour Party line has been consistent - respect the will of the electorate and no second vote. This is irrespective of what individual MPs want to happen. Same with the Conservatives.

Eh? At the last Labour party conference different members (of the shadow cabinet) were saying different things. They're only united now in sabotaging the Tories.

If that is the case I am mistaken and I apologise. I was under the impression that the official Party line remained consistent irrespective of the views of individual MPs. I could be wrong though...

Knowingly impractical and designed solely to facilitate an automatic rejection of any deal with the aim of forcing a general election. On Radio 4 this morning John McDonnell even seemed to think the Queen could summon Jeremy Corbyn and ask him to govern the country without an election! Laughing

Brexit: Labour would back members on new vote, says Corbyn

Unless I'm misreading the situation this is what they agreed to two months ago:
After the late-night meeting on Sunday night, a Labour source told the BBC's political editor Laura Kuenssberg: "There was consensus in the room opposing the Tories' chaotic approach to the Brexit negotiations... and that a general election should be called as soon as any deal is voted down by parliament.

"It was then agreed that if we cannot get a general election Labour must support all options remaining on the table, including campaigning for a public vote."

It seems clear what their plan is. Obviously that'll all be forgotten and the Gammons of 2016 will be blamed.

Irrespective of the official line, Labour want the whole thing to go tits up so a general Election can be called. That is clear. All the Labour Party needs to do (and should do...) is keep as quiet as possible so not to upset anybody, then pounce on the corpse.

Trouble is, I don't think the electorate is ready for a left wing Government. A centre one like Blair's perhaps in coalition with the mighty political powerhouse that is the Lib Dems, but not a left wing one with no majority.

Ahhh, I get it. There was no ultra right-wing pro-Brexit smug shouty bloke to counter the calm and considered Times journalist and the Irish MEP genuinely worried about her constituents if border controls are introduced between North and South.

In that sense, the panel was biased.

Credit where is due, say what you like about the Vote Leave lot.

They’ve all left already.

Farage, Johnson, Davis, Raab all the leave lot has run away...
