jubile....uch a fe ! sorry juist could not resist !
They where a treu british classic.....failure !
enough, you are young, very young by the sounds of things, so use the experience, and it will be one hell of an experience what with ba, whit, bsf, bsp and all the other classics, not to mention special tools needed ( you may have to make these, so think about a local night model engineering class or similar, does your uncle have a lathe in the shed ??? ) !!
You will end up more experienced than the average joe on here......
Just get them home to a nice warm dry shed with electrics and a radio, a kettl;e and pee pot would also be good.
Remove the spark plugs and fill the cylinders with a mixture o0f oily petrol, other mixtures are available ( to home make rather than buy ) .
Practice exteme caution, do not be a bull at a gate and take your time !
These bikes/engine have been in hibbernation for years by the sounds of things so what if it takes you a week to actually get these engine to turn over valves can and do stick, open usually, meaning a stuck open valve meeting a rising piston ( or an opening and closing exhaust or inlet valve ) equals "its fucked now !"
Whilst the cylinders are soaking, read up on the model and the 4 strokes, ful;ly understand what is meant by stuck vales and the possible implications/dangers....some on here will say they never stick and just cannot "tangle", ha, its not their bike is it !
at least 2 weeks away......
Learn all you can about this era of bike before you go charging in, the info is out there, unlike some of the monthly "comics"..........
Take your time, learn and gather data/info, do not break anything and dont be afraid to ask............enjoy.
hare and tortoiuse....... :karma: ____________________ nuts about bikes |

Ground up build you say? Details please. |
took a stock Honda h100, was starting to make a café racer but most of those are crap and made by hipsters who don't want to build bikes just want to look cool. so decided to build a chop
bought a welder, after practise welded a rigid rear end
bought an old fuel tank off a 50s lawnmower and cut and welded it to work as a classic cylindrical oil tank
after buying many second hand tanks and none of them working as they should i took one of the Chinese cruiser tanks and cut it up and welded it into the shape i wanted
built a set of bars for it designed for lane splitting
currently working on the wiring making sure its simplified as much as possible
next on the list is making the foot controls, then its time to pull apart for final welding up, etc etc paint and stuff then a top end rebuild with an Athena 125cc kit, race reed valve, polish and port, perhaps flat slide carb will make at least 15bhp
so yeh just a small first ground up build before i tackle the nortons. I'm also building a larger garage right now nearly done so i can work on these in a more professional and really, better way for the restoration ____________________ 98' RZ50, 92' H100S2, 03' VT125, 59' Jubilee 250, 05' varadero chop, |

Aren’t choppers built “just to look cool”?
Sounds like you’ve made a perfectly ok H100 worse than stock. ____________________ Be a REAL MAN! |
