Has anyone installed a Denali Soundbomb "compact" on a Yamaha MT09(sp). The standard Yamaha horn is just not loud enough, and although the Denali mini is a simple swap, it too seems a bit dull sounding. Only problem I have with the compact is finding a suitable location to install it. Also, as I can see mention of a "relay", is this a simple task to undertake or best left to an auto electrician ?….Thanks

If using the original wiring probably won't need the relay

Why?
They're not road legal
They draw 20 amps that 's 240 watts at 12v so will need a 30 amp relay
and fuse plus suitable cable.
Easy to plumb in but if you have to ask it's beyond your skillset

Why again ?
I bet the stock horn is perfectly suitable for normal use

Why again?
If you constantly have to use your horn, this makes your
riding style suspect

Ride better and you wont need it

tldr: poor obs

Disagree very strongly with this. We - bikes, cars and everyone else - has to get out of a horn-as-rebuke mindset and start thinking of it primarily as a warning - i.e. of a vehicle's presence. I'm not saying everyone should be blasting away all day, every day. I'm simply suggesting that e.g. when a car's backing out of a drive and I'm approaching, a quick toot should immediately be interpreted as polite advanced notice of my approach. Not a "YOU FACKING CANT".

There've been plenty of times where a quick beep has alerted drivers to my presence - and, in an attempt to reassure them that I'm not pissed off or looking to escalate the situation into a bloody altercation - a brief wave smooths things over. It's much better to use the horn to pre-empt something than inflame it after the fact.

Summarily - use the horn more. A lot more. But ffs not in anger.
