Other than the obviouse "to see in the dark", what are you intending to use it for? I prefer a head torch for hands free goodness. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

I use this bicycle light and it is bright to use on unlit bridleways etc after dark
does convert to a head torch and is plenty small enough, but does have a powerbank type battery

Have a look at the LED Lenser range. I've got 3 of these and they're really good. |

Budget Light Forum or Candle Power Forums to destroy your wallet.
My go-to simple recommendation these days is the BLF A6, available from Banggood. It's superb.
Also budget for a decent 18650 and a named charger (I use a Fenix one now). Remember lithium batteries need a bit more care then Duracells.
The number of torches you need is the same as the number of bikes: n+1
A little over your budget, but I'll be asking for a Nitecore TUP for Christmas ____________________ Honda Varadero 125cc => Suzuki Bandit 650 33bhp => 77bhp =>

I'm not averse to a head torch, I have this small 3 led model for household jobs but its not bright enough for walkies and the area where I go for nocturnal canine adventures is a public park and the headtorchists get on my tits.
Also I have this cheap zoomable torch but it's becoming unreliable and I'd like something a lot brighter on wide beam.

Cheers for all the suggestions. |

You have to factor in inflation.
A Maglite was the biz years ago but probably seemed expensive compared to the shite made by ever ready et al.
Maglite is carp now compared to the dedicated tactical stuff available today.
£40 perhaps isn't the cheapest torch but you will get something for £40 that you'll miss if you lose it,. (and buy yourself another. )

I bought this beast to carry on the bike. I now use it at work too. Runs for hours. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |
