When you look at BTC's price crash ratios from previous crashes, we do end up with a low of about $3-4k. Now I am the first to say TA is bullshit but maybe for macro outlook stuff it might be useful?

I dunno, all I know is most of my interest is in XMR and Iota right now.

Yeah, it's a shame about that toxic nationalism that puts a downer on it eh?

Just had a proper good chuckle

https://www.coindesk.com/price/bitcoin

Bitcoin value has well and truly crashed. (And it didn't revolutionise anything anywhere, either).

Foolishly I clicked the link thinking that something spectacular had happened today but no, I think he's talking about what happened last November. Laughing

Noticed how everything continues despite the price fluctuations.

It depends on how you look at it.

It's done very nicely for those of us that purchased it sub 1k.
If you look at it from the point of view of someone that purchased it at 15K plus, then I imagine those people are feeling rather pissed.
I'm ok with that, they wasnt the type of people that should be in crypto anyhow.

Saying it hasn't revolutionised anything is short sighted and ill informed. It created a whole new way of transferring money and it's been doing rather well, especially where government backed currencies are not trusted. Take Zimbawe and Venezuela for example, it's used there by many on a daily basis.

If it only fluctuates by a factor of about 20 (I cannot be bothered checking) over a couple of years, then Bitcoin is more stable than Venezuelan money; no doubt about that.

It revolutionized the online drug markets for sure, back in the day of farmers market, before silk road, people had to pay via paypal, that's eventually how they got shut down. By comparison dream has been running since 2013, despite their recent troubles.

If you say it's 'done very nicely' because you bought sub 1k and it's now at 4k plus, i.e. you see 3k+ of equity in your purchase, then all that means is that you missed the boat for the best cash-in.

You're assuming I didn't cash in.

I did.

The best time to cash in was on December the 17th 2017 when each coin was worth almost £15k.
