Hi all,
I’m new to biking I have a 2002 Suzuki Bandit GSF600 amazing lovely bike I’m so happy with it however it looses power and then pops and bangs and regains power or cuts out but always re starts, we have stripped and cleaned the carbs and put new seals and bullet shaped things in, replaced the fuel tap kit, new fuel filter, new spark plugs, bypassed the side stand switch, blew through the fuel air pipe, any suggestions at all please?
Thanks Vicky

What position is the fuel tap when riding?
Also does fuel pee out of the tap when in PRI position?

Do the carbs again and be more thorough. I did a write-up some years back here:

Virginmedia deleted my webspace so the pics were lost a couple of years ago. I've attached them into the post but they are no longer in-line but you should get the idea from the words and looking at the pics.

That it pops and bangs as it regains power suggests there's fuel there not being burnt, underfueling causes it to splutter and die then come back strong.

Does it stop completely or sound like it's running on two cylinders? I'd look at your coils. Clean the low voltage contacts to them, the ground connection between them and the bike and check the ground connection to the battery is good.
