Guess you never felt the end of your dad's belt whilst growing up then!
I guess that's how dads get their belting skills honed, then.

Maybe five foot of leather with a hefty brass/sharp clasp on the end is a useful weapon?

Ohh you must be young.

Living in near by Halifax.

You had to wear a shirt and trousers (NO Jeans) on a night out, no trainers, smart shoes, tie was a bonus.

This isn't that long ago too early 90s.

So yeah, there were lots of smart people having fights, that also due to all the clubs used to close at 2pm and queues at Bull Green for taxis were massive.

After being turned away from the same bar three weeks in a row, I turned up in a full suit the next. Bouncer just went “are you taking the piss mate” but ended up letting me in anyway.

My work Christmas do was meant to be Halifax but apparently it’s too rough for all the ex cons that I work with to go there now.

I've not been out in fax for about a year.

Near by Sowerby Bridge, is much better IMHO,

I was thinking it was all a bit "handbags."

I'm on a works do this week. Starting in the tent in the Piece Hall, then off for a meal in the new Italian at King Cross, then who knows where... I really hope they don't want to go into town. Could be worse though - could end up at the Roxy!!!

flipping eck late 90s it was £5 a night for all your beer.

I also seem to remember some girl getting her baps out in there for a bottle of "bubbly" from the DJ. (it was Charmelene or some such shxt 70p Perry).

Them were the days.
