CBT is your first lesson, NOT a licence.
Go learn to ride...
go get a proper licence..
THAT is my advice.
You REALLY do NOT need a phone holder, GPS, or a cup holder to do that...... 'Go Get Lost'... double whammy; a) you learn to ride b) you learn how to read street-signs AND get to know a bit about the place you live!!!!
A bludy-smurf-phone is an abomination, it really is, and about the LAST thing you should want on a motorbike, NOT the first!!!!
Its a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none, all in one wonder widget that does hundreds of almost useless things, usually badly.... and it offers eff-all to riding a motorbike; it really does.
The whole topic of GPS/Sat-nav is a can of worms, BUT..... I learned to err... READ a ROAD... then a map... some-while after learning to read a Peter & Jane book..... you REALLY don't need to put a disembodied synthesized woman's commands in charge of your journey... crikey... bad enough having a REAL woman trying to tell you you have made the wrong turn, let a lone a bludy electronic one without as much interesting silicon!!!
GET LOST... you learn how to do U-Turns pretty well, and how to get places when the smurf-phone battery's died! And its all part of the 'Fun'
Maybe NOT if you are trying to get to work on time.... but that begs quite curious query.... what the heck are you doing trying to get to work on time, on a 125 you haven't passed tests on yet?
Seriously....
IF you are competent enough to tackle the hazards of the daily commute every day.... you are competent enough to take, and pass bike tests.... If NOT... ponder.... IF you aren't up to taking tests 'yet'.... should you REALLY be tackling the daily commute, probably THE most hazard strewn journey we can tackle, when most folk are in tin boxes and not had enough coffee to compute yet?
Think about that......
And WHY the hell do you need an effin smurf-phone to TELL you how to get to work? You go there every frigging day, surely you know by now!
Smurf-phone holder? Nah! It is just NOT required, and an added 'hazard' to what is already NOT the most safe and sensible way to get about, before you begin.
If you MUST use a GPS/Smurf-Phone 'ap'.... stick it in your chuffin pocket, and IF you need to check the damn things diddy LCD screen and prod icons... STOP! Get OFF the fcukling BIKE and ROAD to do it!
Save your attention, on the bike, on the move, for the gazillion other chuffing hazards you NEED pay attention to, NOT an bludy smurf-phone!
Jeez... one of the few advantaged to a bike, is being able to 'leave it all behind' particularly life ruling ruddy telephones and compuyter screens... you REALLY do not need take that chit with you, even LESS bolt it to the handlebars!
GET LOST
Its can be fun! And you WILL learn a thing or three that a chuffing smurf-phone CANNOT tell you.....
Sort your insurance, and go ride... that is ALL you need do right now........ except perhaps bone up on high-way code and book tests ready for a proper licence....
FFS they only cost £120 or there-abouts; as cheap as a repeat CBT to perpetually pretend to be a L-oonie, for another couple of years, and the tests?
Theory/Hazard computer game. It's not that hard. Practicals? Well Mod 1 is a CBT cone course under pressure of a man with clip-board, but no other traffic to deal with, and you done that already!! Its hardly a Phd thesis on string theory!!!! Mod 2? Its a half hour effing commute, across town! ONCE! And usually NOT in stuffin rush hour! REALLY!!!! if you CANT do that safely and without committing a catalog of crimes along the way, you have serious issues and being in charge of a motor-vehicle, with only two, and in the case of a scooter, too small,. wheels, REALLY isn't a wonderful idea for any-one!!!!
Go get TESTS not a chuffin smurf-phone holder!!!! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
