More computer woes. Laughing

An annoying thing I have happen is once in a while when on line my browser automatically goes to real-prizes-zone1.com.

My BT macaffee intercepts it as an unsafe site and blocks it doesn't actually cause me problems, it's just bloody annoying.

I've run a full macaffee scan and a malaware scan but it still pops up about once a day.

Any ideas please chaps.

If it looks similar, which I suspect it is, it's a pain but follow the steps and you should remove it. It's a sticky one.

Get the (good) free versoin of Malwarebytes anti-malware product, also their "adwcleaner".

Run it/them from time to time.

Also, sideline a copy of Malwarebytes anti-malware, e.g. to "malwarebytesmycopy.exe" (keep it updated from time to time), so you can run it if something does something nasty to your Malwarebytes product (Edit: e.g. this happened to my dad. His machine got an infestation of something that evaded "malwarebytes" but didn't know about "malwarebytesdadscopy" Smile ).

I had something similar a while ago and it was due to some shite bundled with a free program I installed (daemon tools). I also got a nasty virus once from a bundled bit of software (which I didn't even install Rolling Eyes), so I'm always wary of bundleware installers. Gone are the days when if you did accidentally install Yahoo toolbar it was 30 seconds to get rid of it.

Format your computer and reinstall Windows to get rid of all and any adware shitware crap that someone has installed on your computer.

He's only just cloned the drive Smile As Riejufixing suggested download/run malwarebytes, it normally does the job. I normally run malware programs in safe mode as some malware can interfere with them.

Ah! It says:

STEP 1: Remove 1-prize-winner.com pop-up ads with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
STEP 2: Remove 1-prize-winner.com adware with AdwCleaner

STEP 3: Double-check for 1-prize-winner.com redirect with HitmanPro
(OPTIONAL) STEP 4: Remove 1-prize-winner.com Ads from Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge

I'm ashamed to admit, the daemon tools/browser hack was the very first thing I installed on clean installation Embarassed
