My wife has said "I don't want any of that old junk in my house", despite having a joint mortgage etc, it's always her this or that.

Stress is a killer and I'm stressed.

Buy a used concrete garage, put it up in your garden, and keep your stuff in it. You'll probably get one for £1, and you can reduce the size of it if you want by using fewer sections, and put a nice wooden front on it, and grow stuff up it to make it look nice.

They are free around here 6x6 with a corrie roof, yeah thought about that. Truth is it's just junk in the shed, a half built kit car and various other bits of shite that really needs chucking.

thanks for the input though.

I am shocked, and need a drink.

Chappie here says he's got stuff that needs chucking! Bits of shite, even!!! He's going to CHUCK OUT stuff instead of jealously guarding it and hoarding even more stuff!!!!!

Oh, my! I do feel sick and faint. Oh! Oh, my!

that's what junk is, stuff you hoard for years and let go or throw away about six weeks before you find a use for

Brexit chat should be confined to the existing Brexit threads.

There shall be no new threads, polls or threads with polls about some philosophical idea related to the number of Brexit threads on BCF.

Am I right?

Can't you approach said allotment owners yourself ('I hear you may have a garage coming empty soon?') and ask to rent it yourself?

All has not been rosy chez Suntan for a few days. Obviously Sid & I are as always deliriously happy, but we've suffered the obligatory 3 disasters one after the other this week.

Firstly, what should have been a straightforward sink swap in Sid's 87 year old Dad's kitchen turned into a nightmare job when the existing cabinet collapsed due to long term water damage. What should have taken a day, took 4. Finding a cabinet to match the ancient kitchen was a challenge as well as fitting it and the sink.

Second, we got back from finishing that, after 5 days away to find the downstairs, freshly decorated study flooded from a faulty radiator valve which has never leaked before. Much swearing, many books to be dried out, soggy carpet to be removed. Sid fixed the leak and plumber checked it.

Third, as of the above weren't enough, 36 hours after getting back and sorting the flood, we discovered the freezer had been switched off for the previous 6 days. Probably when Sid was unplugging his recharging station for his tools before we went to his Dad's. The freezer had been packed with meat much of which has had to be chucked.

If disasters happen in threes, we should be in the clear for a while now.

mine was last night but it will do

the cock head sat next to me at def leppard

first of all turned up two minutes before the support act came on so had to get everyone to stand up so he could get in

then had binoculars to see the stage
kept putting them on the floor

then picking his pop up and having a mouthful then putting it down

getting sweets out of his pocket then picking the binoculars back up
then filming on his phone then filling his face

the fucker never kept still for more then about twenty seconds all night
and every time he reached for something he elbowed me to get to it

we only sat down as couldn't get standing tickets
I would have got knocked less if I had been at the front of the stage I reckon

band was ace though

There is indeed, but I have nothing against the type of arguments that occur in there or even against polls, but can you deny that after the first few it just got ridiculous?

Today has been a steaming pile of turd.

1) My work site is shared between two organisations, other one had the electronic gates replaced and we were all issued new gate passes. They then put the old gate on the service road I use to access part of the carpark for my organisation. Half of our new gate passes don't work on the relocated gate so I have to get buzzed in and today the woman on reception refused to let me through as 'there isn't access round there'. I had to argue that there is access and I want to get to work pls and it made me late.

2) At work I tripped over and smacked my knee on the concrete floor. I now have a lovely bruise blooming and I can't put any weight on it.

3) I munched enough painkillers to drive home and on the motorway a car flicked up something that bounced off my windscreen and cracked it.

I sincerely hope that is all of my bad luck for the day Sad
