Subject to Brexit actually happening and the transition period not going on forever, I'd have thought that EU membership will be off the cards for at least a couple of decades and we'd have to be invited to join their gang. |
Nevertheless, that's how I think it should be done. It satisfies democratically the result of the referendum, which we were told would be implemented. Then, it could be the decision of the British people to rejoin if they so wished, with a promise that Parliament will do all in its power to implement the result of the second referendum. All properly democratic and everyone can be satisfied that the system is honourable. If we aren't then allowed back in, or if it's years before we're allowed to try, ohwhatashame ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017
