Another stupid question but what the hell are "firewire notebook adaptor " & "firewire cards" used for nowadays? Or ever?
I'm guessing the po used them for the extra usb's & plugging in his video cameras (which I also got ) as they came with weird looking cables that run direct from cameras to firewire card.
Cheers,

Yep, they were mainly used for connecting video cameras as they were (at the time) quicker interfaces than USB1.0. Later, quicker, USB technology made the obsolete. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

We might have an issue with the Win' 7 disc, I only have DVD+R discs which I don't think your laptop/DVD drive supports I burnt the disc on my laptop which then couldn't read it , even though my PC could and even an ancient laptop I used to format your drive could as well:

^ for 'fun' I might try and get Win' 7 working on that tonight
I could install Win' 7 on your drive and then not boot into it, I've done this before but I'm not sure if you'll end up in a world of driver issues. |
