Guildford to Leatherhead to Bognor Regis and back. 100 miles

Started out partly sunny, but quickly turned grey and mizzly. Ride home at 5pm was dark, full of road spray and fewer lairy overtakes.

Visited Polesden Lacy for a brew and walk around the gardens / borders of mud. Including their "spectacular" winter gardens which were spectacularly shit Smile
Being facetious / unfair. Its actually another very good National Trust site if that's your thing. But obviously better in summer.

As I approached entrance to Polesdon, instantly recognised it as having been there a few times doing a green lane next to it.
On the way out, passed Steve Jordan Motorcycles. Bit of legend down here but didn't know exactly where it was, do now. Might be dropping a shock off to them for rebuild if I feck it up myself. I certainly won't be doing the Nitrogen refill, but hoping to find a garage closer that will.

Down to the olds at Bognor for some more tea and a natter. Splendid hoonary on route.

Ran out of bravery on the wet roads, but still enjoyed it.
Roadsmart 3's are not as good in cold/damp as I remember PR4's being. Front moved a bit in the bends when pushed. But they are 6k miles old, so had the best out of them.

Hasn't punctured it (miraculously). But was in vertically at 7mm. So am a little concerned of loading tyre.....but sure I'll forget about it after a while Smile

So yeah. Enjoyed the riding (albeit a bit damp). Can't wait to have some sunny(ish) dry(ish) days before Christmas hopefully.

Yeay, got a decent run out this afternoon, with the weather being a nice, mild & bright winters day !. Up to Manchester Airport, and back via Jodrell Bank, avoiding the motorways. Still waiting for my tank stickers to arrive !

Actually, only a little ride out, of about 130 miles in total ...

A few of pics ..

Popped out for an hour earlier, just to clear the cobwebs.
Got cold.
Lost track of how much fuel I had due to the fact that disconnecting the battery reset the odometer.
Of course the fuel light came on.
Stalled at a roundabout trying to pull away in 4th.
I r rusty.

Apart from all that, it was awesome.

Guildford to Crawley and back. 102 miles.

https://i.imgur.com/LZ1AsoP.jpg

Nymans was busy.

https://i.imgur.com/565FQit.jpg

Mad busy

https://i.imgur.com/jdWYdRa.jpg

So left and went to Wakehurst.....that was foggy, mizzly and busy. So binned that off as well and came home.

https://i.imgur.com/2QIY5wY.jpg

Food was great, coffee superb.

Did enjoy a lot of the ride, because it was mild. But nearly dropped it at 10mph sliding sideways at a roundabout 10 yards from home. Embarassed

Pushed out the garage, then a couple hours later pulled back into garage...ha ha ha...cannot ride at the moment as had osteo pummel my shoulders (getting bike back into the garage was a bit painful), though my lifesaver move has now been restored...won't be long till I'm back in the saddle for a ride out. Very Happy

Out for a couple of hours looping around local A, B and single-track roads just for the joy of it. Dry roads, fairly mild air and the Kawasaki on song. Considerate car drivers, and a good few bikers out and about too. Very Happy

Guildford to Nymans (Crawley) and back via several detours to pickup some nice roads.

110 miles

https://i.imgur.com/Y5GtBW2.jpg

Enjoyed the relatively empty roads and mild (11c) weather. Past 3pm and the temperature dropped enough for the roads to seem a bit greasy.

Glad I went, it was needed Thumbs Up

Just been for a ride on the back roads to Holmfirth and up to Holm Moss, bit windy up there.
https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/52365668_10157078031093436_2287314056442281984_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&_nc_ht=scontent-lhr3-1.xx&oh=eb823f668eb36244eac7d67b1b57d8c0&oe=5CDAD2D4
Then down mostly back roads again to the edge of Matlock and on to CMC at Clay Cross for a Burger and a brew while looking at all the bikes, nothing peaked my interest.
The Continental RA3 tyres are great, my confidence in them is growing already on dusty, slippery tarmac.

Took it up to Patterdale for lunch at the Patterdale Hotel. I was out the door at 8:30 and after 2 miles I was riding through thick fog and the bike said the temperature had dropped to 4°c, after too many miles of that it started to clear as I passed through Bradford, topped up the tank at Skipton where I met my friends from Leeds and onward to Lake Windermere for coffee and a chat.
Then a fun ride up to Patterdale for dinner and on to Kendle via the A6 through Shap for more chat and Coffee.

Then back down the A65 home, just past Leeds I was back into thick fog but now it was dark, good fun, arrived home with 10 miles of fuel remaining after about 210 miles on that tank +55 to Skipton, most of them "Not hanging about" and an unusual route to north Leeds thanks to road closures.
As for the new tyres, edge-to-edge today and no slips or slides Twisted Evil

I made use of the sunny weather to roll the gixer out to go and get some petrol. Two hours later I got home again having done pretty much all of the lovely biking roads in my local area.

Lots of other bikes out today and only a few knobby car drivers. I had a thoroughly lovely afternoon Very Happy

Guildford to Dungeness. Camber + Lydd, great places to ride a bike Thumbs Up

200 miles.

Summer gloves, T-Shirt under jacket. Perfect.....until the ride home. Kinda forgot about the heading west at this time of year, 3 hours of being blinded by the sun.

Still, was worth it.

First ride out today since the Winter rebuilds and replacements. This was a stop off at Cambois, Northumberland.

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7862/40263542503_12aa9d137a_b.jpgBy The Sea by Craig David, on Flickr

Nothing came loose or fell off which was a surprise - only the gear selector required adjusting by one spline to position it better.
I did close to 100 miles and the new Pirelli tyres are turning out to be an excellent purchase. They're giving excellent grip and handling. Some folk here recommended them and it's a good choice.
I changed the chain and sprockets anyway but this time I've geared the bike for a little more top end speed. It's meaning that the engine can run national speed limit roads without screaming but I still have good acceleration.
I'm sat at my PC with a massive grin!

Guildford to Bognor and back via Goodwood.

80 miles......quite windy miles. On my Striple, so didn't feal it as much as a faired bike.

The cold and wind kept people off the roads. And while the damp patches, fresh collections of gravel, and cold wind kept a lid on some exuberance, really enjoyed it!

Only minor. They seem to have widened sections of the A285, which is a shame. I guess I'll just have to go faster Mr. Green

Not today but on Sunday I met up early for a rideout

https://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv23/WiNot_Rhencullen/Bikes/20190324_090421_zpstxtj4r5m.jpg~original

Then a fun route down to Rye for some breakfast

https://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv23/WiNot_Rhencullen/Bikes/20190324_113117_zpsdxkxihhu.jpg~original

The roads were nearly empty at that time of the morning and Rye bike park was just starting to fill up with many exotic machines.I was surprised by how many Aprilia RV4 Tuonos there were there Shocked

bit of a bike meet in town, there usually are bikes parked up in the square on a Sunday, but this was the first one to be "officially organised" by Boyds a local shop. Much promotion on social media, was a good turn out for a meh-weather day in April.

Another blast out on the CCM to blow some cobwebs away.
This time into rural Northumberland. About 90 miles all in.
