Got a haynes manual for the YBR. Loving the bike so far. Much better than the SR.

Keep it that way; change the oil frequently enough (3,500 miles in book, I'd go a bit less)!

change every 1000 miles. The oil do degrade badly and starts drinking it own oil therefore leading them to run dry. I have seen this happen so many times!

Back in the day, I used to go and have a look at my mates friends from works lambretta. Lierally every 3 or 4 weeks it would be abandoned at work and we would go down in the evening and have a look at it.
EVERY time it was the plug. Maybe the guy was putting too much oil in the fuel , I don't know. We had pink sparks, purple sparks, yellow sparks and whatever. When we put a new plug in we had a fat blue spark and the bike would go.

Just saying.

My bet for this one though is that the valve timing is out a tooth or so.

Teflon-mike...... where do you get your patience from?
