Been on an A2 license for a while (4 - 5 years) and as you can probably see from my signature there are a few bikes above the allowed power range Whistle

But January 1st said to myself I'm going to sort out my license this year and get an unrestricted one, passed MOD2 this morning Very Happy . Planning my first track day at Brands, any recommendations on a beginner track bike?

Congrats, did you DIY it on your own bike or go through a school? I passed mine last week, didn't have the balls to ride non-A2 compliant bikes though so settled on a 'restricted' Whistle FZS600 Laughing

Nice one Thumbs Up

Through a school, didn't know how to go about insuring a bike for MOD2 when you don't have the license to ride the bike. Thought it's not worth the hassle and just go through the school despite the cost.

Ahh the old 'restricted but the restriction fell out' Wink . I was talking to my instructor this morning about taking the restriction off, he said he did exactly the same thing on A2.

And thanks both, good to be legal Smile

Yeah was a PITA, you just have to say you're insured through Bikesure who do learner insurance and hope you don't crash during the test. Confused Not sure I'd recommend it to anyone now since it was rather stressful Laughing

I thought that was a given for any driving test Smile
