I have done that. Undone it and done it again several times.
I'm at work and no where remotely near the camera now anyway but I'll play with it again with the new remote. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

Or just download magic lantern for the 5D2 it works well! adds all sorts of features to the camera for photography AND video dont worry about messing up the firmware as it runs from the CF card so remove the cf card and your back on stock canon software! Oh if you format the CF card you keep magic lantern on it unless you say you want to format the whole thing. Gives you a serious amount of new toys to play with....and as for the remote you have it wont work out doors in sunlight or when your behind the camera etc. much better off with a cable one or a wifi type. I did use the IR back when my mobile phone (HTC one) had an IR blaster on it. you could set a sound level to trigger it by so for fast paced product stuff in a light tent it was damn good! new product, click fingers...next! ____________________ Current bikes...cbr929, KDX200's, Rd125lc mk2, RGV250's |

Markenfield Hall near Ripon
This is a real down to earth medieval manor house - still lived in more or less as a farmhouse but outbuildings are separate cottages now.
It has a moat but no drawbridge
Limited open days with modest entry fee.

On the way back:
Ripon Cathedral.
It's actually quite hard to get close to this without properly parking and walking but with the bike I managed it, and parked right outside.
You can see it from miles away then it kind of disappears as you get closer.

Fryup Heads North York Moors.
It looks like some kind of quarrying and no doubt a few stones have been carted away, but this strange cauldon of hillocks and ponds is mostly the result of repeated rotational landslips.
The instability was enhanced during the last ice age when the valley below became a large lake as the outflow to the North Sea at Whitby was blocked by ice sheets from Norway.
