I know BCF is not a one make forum, but some of the stuff he says here does apply!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Used to be pretty much only bike stuff. Then there was so much non-bike related stuff, the NBR section was put in.

I'd personally like to see it that you need to have posted some sort of relevant and regular contribution in the bike related sections of the forum to allow you to post in the NBR sections.

Maybe rehash the karma system so it gives karma for bike related posts but removes it for NBR content?

The ratings system ought to be enough to keep a lid on shitposting in the bike section just to gain "credit".

I sometimes wonder if some of the more politically vociferous members are even interested in motorbikes or just come on here to lick the windows.

That probably applies to me Very Happy For the longest time I rarely ventured into the other sections and definitely not the politics forum. The motorbike topics seem like an endless repetition, if it was purely bikes this place would be a bit dead I reckon Neutral

Its as bad as ever. Older people now speaking with a voice of experience and wisdom who have neither, it scares me.

Motorcycle forums are dominated by the 'wisdom' of high posters. Smart arse comments rule the day . Look at me, I'm a 'site bully' cos I write a lot. Just occasionally, the little man says something good, only to be censored by the big guns. This forum is successful because it is less pc than many . It's a safe haven for hardened forumites. If you can cut it here, you've arrived. Single bike forums are usually run by 'little hitlers' with their rules and bans. Try all the others first and then come here. BCF is for pros. Wink
