Sounds like the pinlock system is a less than ideal solution anyway as you guys have said it adds a second layer of glare etc. I'll try these anti fog wipes when they turn up and maybe the foggy mask, if that still doesn't work I'll have to go down the pinlock route.

To be honest, Pinlock while it has faults, I think is good - mine hasn't left my visor since I bought the helmet. They're not particularly expensive (£25 I think?) so it might be worth a shot, you can take the thing out again if you find it's giving you problems, you might even be able to flog the thing for near full price on eBay (or even take it back to the shop you bought it if it isn't "fit for purpose") if you fit it and only use it once before deciding you don't like it

I've got a flip up helmet and got an anti-fog insert just like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Midwest-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Invision-Shield/dp/B071HFP8GH/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1549025230&sr=8-9&keywords=visor+anti+fog

It works brilliantly and I forget it's there now, I only remember how good it is when I occasionally notice round the outside of it (outside of my normal field of vision) is completely fogged up.
I fitted it towards the end of the summer last year and it's showing no signs of coming apart yet. Thumbs Up

sorry to hijack post but thought it would be better than starting a new thread. I've just got a new helmet that is "fog free". That it is, but instead I'm finding water droplets forming as condensation on the inside of the visor. This is actually far worse than fog as they don’t clear when you lift the visor up! Anyone have any thoughts? Pinlock visor is £80!

How is it in the dark? Does it give 'double' images of lights etc?
Just I'm aware that a second layer can do that.
I can't tell from the images but is it a flush system? By that I mean does the entire thing touch the visor or does just the outer edge of it?

no problem in the dark, no double image of lights or indeed any double images at all. It doesn't all touch the visor, just the outer edge.
Like a double glazing effect, it has strong glue all round the outside - just make sure when it's stuck on that the visor and insert are the same temperature. Leave them in the same room for a couple of hours before putting together.

There's nothing wrong with helmets and tugs in the same sentence.
Come here and I'll show you why x
