I have bt sport on my phone for free.

I want to connect my phone to my smart (or stupid) tv to stream bt sport on the tv.

TV is an oldish LG connected to my wifi and freesat. Phone is a motoG6 play running android 8.

I can't get them to connect. I'll rephrase that, I don't have a clue on how to connect them.

Any ideas please? Watching footy or motogp on a phone really doesn't appeal to me.

https://airmore.com/mirror-android-screen-tv.html

Does this help, your phone can likely do it but not sure about older TVs.

If your TV doesnt support casting, you can use a cheap android tv box to cast it to.

You can cast straight from a Moto g6, I know cause I've got one!

Chromecast is £30.

Or, login on laptop and hdmi cable in to telly.

I don't think you can cast the BT app, at least, you never used to be able to ..

Best way to get it on the big screen, is plug a PC into it, and use the web link.

EDIT: Ignore that. It seems you can now! Thumbs Up

I've not used it in ages but iirc you could only cast with the standard not enhanced player, this might have changed.

I used to stream to my fire tv stick although I can't remember if I ever did it with the BT sport app, it definitely works with youtube etc..

I use chromecast with btsport (and other apps). Thumbs Up
Cheap, reliable, efficient, as long as your tele has a spare hdmi port for it.

Can you? Because I have found out how to cast utube and the like, but can't find a way of casting bt sport.

Edited to add - it looks like you can't unless you pay a monthly fee for 'the big screen' Rolling Eyes
