Trudging through the last few episodes of the final series of Parks and Recreation. Parks and Recreation had some great characters and was a good sitcom but should have cancelled earlier.

That's a very slippery slope, down which even I have yet to travel.

Nah, you have to be really committed.
You have to really like the characters, else don't bother.
Both Mike and Saul were two of my favourites in Breaking Bad.

Russian Doll. Netflix

Fast-talking, gobby New Yorker finds herself trapped in Groundhog Day type loop, dying over and over again while trying to find out whether the joint she smoked was the cause of her predicament.

Quite gothic, funny, clever and intriguing.

Would watch again...........

Thanks for that.
I nearly didn't watch it, but based on your recommendation I decided to go for it.
Glad I did. Very good.
Cool

Dirty John (Netflix)

Rich woman gets internet date and marries him within weeks. Her kids hate him, turns out they were right to. He's an absolute cad and bounder.

Based on a true story. Pretty good, although she and her daughters are swishy, like....whateverrrrr waspy blondes, and quite annoying. However, it's always satisfying seeing (rough) justice being done in the end.

The Umbrella Academy (Netflix)

I'm only 2 episodes in but it's intriguing so far. Imagine Lemony Snicket teaming up with Pulp Fiction to fight the Apocolypse. Great production values and effects. Based on some comic or other. I'm far too old for that sort of thing but seeing Robert Sheehan, stoned, in his tiny leopard-print underpants is always worth 5 minutes of anyone's time Wink

Russian Doll - very enjoyable, I want more
Umbrella Academy - bit slow in the middle but kept me interested until the end. I also want more.
Ted Bundy Tapes - I'm finishing this off because I started it, it is intensely uncomfortable viewing for me.

I'm nearing the end of series 3 of The Man in the High Castle, and it is turning into Time Tunnel meets the Nazi's Confused

also, it's getting so that I expect William "B.J." Blazkowicz to put in an appearance

Russian Doll - so good, even if the jewish noo yawker thing grates after a bit. Interested to see what they do with Season 2.

Mr Robot - just finished Season 2, not as good as the first, but again - interested to see where they take the story.

Luther - watched all 5 seasons in about a month. For me, one of the things that the BBC does well is crime procedurals.

Killing Eve - I'm about 4 eps in, and it is rather good. The lass who plays the hitwoman (hitperson?) is a cracking actor in everything that I've seen her in (Remember Me is the main one).

The third is better than the second series but not as good as the first. Overall it left me feeling kinda meh, wish I'd quit sometime in S2.

I (really) liked them all except for the last series, dunno if it me or Luther Smile Sometimes things just aren't as fresh when repeated.

The lass = Wub Had a major crush on her since my mad fat diary, although I believe she's a scouser Thinking

I only gave Killing Eve one episode, I'm not buying into the whole seeeee women can be as violent as men wave going through TV/film ATM, I'm not sure what point they're trying to prove, not being violent is a good thing is it not? Eh?

To add to my current retro telly series watching ive started watching The X-Files. Im enjoying it as I've only get seen the odd episodes over the years. I didnt have a tv when it was first on tv so its a bit of a mystery to me but I can see how it became so popular.

I used to find it terrifying when I was a kid Embarassed, now it just looks lame and very unscary.

I'm just starting American Vandal (two series)

But I accidentally started S2 E1* by mistake and am now officially hooked.

Even though S1 is a different story about a different vandalism.

Looks like a long night/next few days on the sofa.

*entitled The Turdburglar, that's all I'm even gonna say Shocked
Cant wait to get back to S2E2 Laughing

So I struggled on with Fear the Walking Dead which I've been very slowly plodding through in an on off sort of a way, and have got to Series 3. Very end of Series 2 and the start of Series 3 was much improved.

It cant be as JAP as The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. That really puts the jewish nooyorker thing in your face but its good. I avoided it for ages thinking it would be a bit chick-flicky but its actually very funny and has some cracking performances from the supporting cast.
