I seek the wisdom of the mighty BCF.
Thinking about my options for my summer outings.

So is the Scilly Isles and a road on it the UK’s most southerly road.
Or? Is it St Clements in the Channel island of Jersey?

My only criteria is that it is a public road, thanks Thumbs Up

Possibly, also.

If you want to stick to the mainland then you're going to Cornwall.

Feel free to smash nobby's back gate in on your way through Wiltshire. Thumbs Up

Mainland = Lizard Point.
UK = Scilly Isles.

= Jersey (but I'm really not sure it's worth riding that road just for the sake of it...)

Don't bother with Jersey as a riding destination. 11,000 cars on an island 5x9 miles with most roads 15 and 20mph limit and few overtaking spots. There's only one 40mph piece of road about half a mile long the rest are slower. Oh and the parking everywhere is a nightmare.

Fantastic place to visit, full of history, REALLY great food, lovely people but a riding destination it ain't.

Hmm? Maybe not the greatest riding destination, I can see your point.
However, bike + telescopic fishing rod + the Jersey coast = a good few days away Thumbs Up .
And it’ A tick off the list ie all four points of the British Isles Thumbs Up

Sounds like a win win for me.

I once hired a 250 of some description (maybe a Suzuki GN) in 1985 I think, to tour the Island. It was a needed so I could secure my 'I Scored 20 with Mary-Anne' T shirt that required visiting 20 different pubs on Jersey. Had a mate on teh back and I recall it was a bit of a laugh. Later that day as we slept in a derelict building near the seafront in St Helier - shared with some drop-outs - the helmets doubled-up as pillows, kind of.
Happy days..
