Hi all 16 plate ybr 125 causing a bad head at the mo. Put the key in the ignition switch to on and half the time nothing. Switching between on and off and eventually the dash lights up ready to go. The bike now and again just turns over and wont start. I have noticed the engine light blinks once followed by 9 short blinks. Looking at other posts I am guessing this is error code 19. Does this sound like my ignition barrel is shot causing the error code ?
Cheers

Checked all connections and all seems fine. Fitted a new barrel and now it powers up but shows no neutral light on the dash and is dead when the starter button is pressed.

So you are following the 'randomly replacing bits to see if it works' method of diagnosis.

Can I suggest that you replace the fairings on my bike next in the hopes it fixes yours?

"""Checked all connections and all seems fine."""
How are you doing this?
I suggest you get a multi/meter to test the original switch and connection to the fuse box when switching on with the battery disconnected so not to upset the brain. (e.c.u.)
Q, has somebody tried to steal this bike at any time?

As a newbie thought id try the barrel as a lot of other forum posters have done the same with success. Wont bother changing any farings ill just follow sensible and helpful advice ta. Theres always one Neutral

I'm thinking of forming an emotional support group called code 19!
With code 19 it will turn over but not spark
I too have had the neutral light on and then off. It looks like once the ecu gets code 19 in it's head then bugger all will change it's mind
