does anyone know some specifics for removing the stock alarm system from a 620 monster?
it's giving me nothing but grief with it's intermittent lifestyle and I'd rather just go without, like every other bike I've ever had.
there's a 620 race series I believe so there must be a simple method of just taking it all off and binning it. but I'm taken to believing there's ecu work involved, though I could have misinterpreted.

Before you rip out the alarm (as tempting as I know it may be), but how old is it? I had an old Meta M357T V2 alarm on my old Fazer, they have an internal battery with an expected life span of around 10 years. After which they commonly play up: beeping very quiet, no alarm siren, resistant to disabling etc.
The fix: simply pickup a new alarm unit for about £120, swap it in, use the new key fobs and job's a good 'un. Took me about 45mins in all. Picked up my new unit from Abacus Alarms, who were very helpful with tips regarding fitting. No hassles for many years later.
Might be worth considering. ____________________ Beginner Biker Adventures Blog

Managed to bypass this in the end. Really quite easy... Happy to share if anyone ever needs. ____________________ CBT - 17/09/12 * Theory - 23/10/12 * Mod1 - 05/03/13 * Mod2 - 25/03/13 * BOSH!
