I'm siding with Diggs, mpd, Sister Sledge etc. on this particular one..
Sorry Mr 476
As I said before, I did a gap year in an accountants in Lincolnshire (arable land of very high value) and most of our clients were farmers worried about the fact they were making too much money.
And they would claim things like dogs as business expenses. Also, I was amazed at the value of assets such as Combine Harvesters.
Back on Brexit, I think it will go into 2 years more uncertainty. Regarding the backstop/no deal, remember the IRA are waiting in the wings carefully watching developments. |

Unless we offer a new referendum to the EU I think they will refuse a long extension forcing parliament to vote on revoking article 50.
The worst thing about that would be Vals gloating. |
Revoking Article 50 will cancel Brexit won't it? Even if they thought they could get away with it (which is some bare faced cheek), anti EU feeling will only carry on increasing as time goes on, until a party gets into power who actually wants to leave and we'll do it properly then, with a leader and parliament who wants to leave.
Not leaving isn't a solution long term. This isn't like Scot Indy Ref where remain actually won, this time leave won and quite rightly, we should be leaving.
10 days and counting..... I wonder what trick May and the EU have organised for the last minute? We need an emoji for pitchforks. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Well, bliar does know how to stop Brexit, and it's working very well:
"It was Tony Blair who said that the way to stop Brexit was first to vote against the Prime Minister’s deal, then to vote against no deal, then to seek a long extension"
The first two have probably been done. That leaves the long extension.
People won't listen to sense re "the deal", though. |

He made his point very well. You're a self serving cunt, it's nothing to do with the good of the country etc. As you like to pretend with your patriotic bullshit. |
I don't know either of you but I do know of your personal vendettas against each other and, in this case, you're missing the point.
Up and down the country, across the EU and around the world, businesses are spending vast sums of money to deal with this supposed "no deal" (which is actually a deal) EU exit.
At least MPD admits he's making money out of it, when is the house going to admit there's a substantial amount of capital in it for them, if they block any form of true exit? ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

No personal gain to me voting leave - quite potentially the opposite in fact. Suppose that makes me more of a patriot. ____________________ Mpd72: I can categorically say i’m Brighter than that, no matter how I come across on here.

Basically, yes, I don't think it will happen. |
You (your gov.) had 2 years to figure this out. What did you/they do instead? What was so important that it could not wait?
On the other hand I do understand what is going on now. Under the pressure of the catastrophic scenarios, no one wants to be to blame if Brexit turns out bad for the majority. So they stall and stall, now trying to put the blame on the EU for not playing nice, so the home grown UK patriots have a new villain to hate and the UK politicians have a space to do what they do the best, act like everything is alright. Have a cup of tea, enjoy.
Isn't that how wars are started?
EDIT: I'm not going to say I knew this was gonna happen, but the moment May said the Brexit should be red, white and blue and nothing else, I knew, this was gonna be a shit show. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

What, Germany trying to enforce its rule over the whole of Europe?
Twice so far by military force and now once via political force, at first, followed by a central European military, ran by guess who? The Germans. |
Yes, while you stayed at home, sipping your tea and giving Germans whatever they wanted. And quite frankly, you do the same today.
Who are your representatives, at the EU, in the EP...? What have they achieved in the past 45 or so years? ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
