Think the 140 is for club membership, entry fees seperate. Depends how far you want to take it really. Just to start, assuming you have a bike-
You have to attend an assesment training day to even get a licence, dont know current cost.
Transport to and from circuit, trailer, van, van hire.
Good leathers, gloves, boots, body armour and 2 helmets (you will duff one at some point). Not worth skimping on these.
Paddock stands, tyre warmers fuel, oil, tools, generator.
Crash spares, levers, bars footpegs, gaffa tape, tie wraps etc.
Entry fees, depending on how many classes/races.
To do it properly (no other way really cos you can get deaded) just to get on the grid for your first race ballpark 1.5 - 2K.
Last season I raced (2006) cost me 8 - 10k with 2 bikes and I already had all of the above.
What class are you looking at?

Sell your house, move into a van with your bike.
My mates who do post modern classic (late 80's/early 90's speedbarges) club racing reckon they are blowing around £6k a year. That will be the amount they are telling their wives rather than the actual amount. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
