Hi All,

Desperation has set in! I pick up my 790 Adventure R on saturday and need to get my insurance setup. Currently with Hastings for my 1090 and they cant find the bike, and their brokers dont list it yet.

Checked comparison sites, they list the Duke but not the new Adventure R.

Rang many (Bennetts, MCE etc) directly, and i jave found just 3 that'll insure me, 2 for silly money and 1 (Lexham) thats reasonable, but still more than my 1090!

It seems that many underwriters just dont list it as a bike yet, and not knowing what underwriters the brokers use, im doing circes getting a lot of 'cant find it so cant insure it' comments!

Any ideas?!

Tried:
Comparison sites
Bennetts (silly money)
MCE
Admiral
Carole Nash
Hastings
Aviva
Devitt (calling me back tomorrow)

Help!

Cheers Smile

You can self insure if you put up a bond of £100K.

I'm sure this doesn't help but shits and giggles etc.

I always thought the bond was £1 Million?

Shoot me if this is a stupid reply but speak to the dealership about insurance?
You appear to have tried other routes..

The Bike Insurer list it. No idea what the quotes come out like, but it’s there.

Just take the plate off and byklyf it.

I’m with Lexham, if you do decide to use them, make sure you read their fine print. Someone on here was refused a claim (last we heard) because they didn’t say they had a disc lock on when their bike was stolen. It says you need at least 2 locks at all times, steering and one other.
