Met my new neighbour properly today. She's 4'6" tall, 90 and awesome!
She took a parcel in for me today and we got chatting outside our homes. She's been worried about making noise and was scared to turn her telly up - I replied with what!
Told her to make whatever noise she fancies and if she's having a party I want an invite.
Bout time I had a decent neighbour here - they've (mostly) been miserable buggers.

Err no thanks, I prefer a wooden shed and I'm buying from my local garden center, I know it's a lot of money but the previous shed lasted over 40 years. I've also been advised against a metal shed, in fact I posed the question about sheds last year on this very forum.

Just an example, I had a metal pent roof one and it was fine never rusted or needed paint. I don't understand why so expensive and then the cheek to bung another 7 quid delivery on top.

I had a HUGE top of my lungs screaming argument with my ex-husband ... and I feel much better. Laughing

I've not needed (or wanted) to have a shouty domestic for years.

But all the exhaustion, frustration and worry of the last few weeks just got to me one last time.

So when he yelled at me, I fucking well yelled back. And then I cried. And then I invoked the potential heart-brokenness of our daughter if he died, which made him back down and behave his fucking self.

Its only really possible to understand why this has oiled my gears if you know the guy.

But trust me ... it was exactly what was required.

Heard today that the CB250 I recently sold has a new owner, bike shop phoned me today and asked if I had any spares for the bike.

I've gathered a small collection of bits and pieces for the bike, brake shoes, foot rest mountings, air filters which I will take in when the shop does my next chain and sprocket kit.

Also oiling the gears is that I spoke to the contractor who is going to build my shed for me. It's going cost me about £100 which is Cheap!

The contractor does lots of work for the garden centre who is providing my shed so no issues there. Laughing

I remembered the chorizo I stole from my ex-husband's kitchen, it was still in my fridge, yay.

And I am now cooking it with a tin of cannellini beans, a sprinkle of dried fried onions, and half a glass of white wine. Unusually for my ex, there was also a jar of Ragu so I am probably going to put that in, but I don't like the taste of manufactured sauces, thanks to his efforts in the past - he never used to use pre-made sauces, he almost always made them from scratch with garlic, onions, herbs and tinned tomatoes or passata.

Anyway, it smells fucking awesome as it is, already - so I might not bother with the Ragu at all.

I also liberated some fancy pasta which I will shortly also be cooking up and eating the sauce with. Fair play to the fella, he always buys decent ingredients.

He has his uses, the grouchy old sot Laughing

What's not to love. Thumbs Up .

What oiled my gears?
I slept well last night. No night terrors, no annoying erections, not too hot, not too cold. I just slept. Awesome!

It's Friday!

For some reason, people in one of the most atheist countries in Europe celebrate Easter which means I've got a few days off. Going back to work on Wednesday next week. Thumbs Up

I have had a black spot on the outside of my right thigh since summer last year, looking like skinned-over blackhead. Didn't know what it was.

After having a go at it a few times in the past, and making it messy, I let it calm down for a couple of months.

So today I gave it a good old poke with the sharp tip of my pen-knife, and pushed down next to it, and a sodding great thorn leapt out, 3/4" (20mm) long, onto my thumbnail.

Amazing! No pain from the thorn, but much satisfaction now it's out!

Got the Snarley back on the road after three and a bit very long years.

I only rode it from Shepherds Bush round to North Finchley, and I ache all over this morning.

But am grinning from ear to ear.

Next plan is to get the GSX back on the road, might take a while but so long as I have wheels, I have gone from being a fluffy Old Dear back into a menace on two wheels.

The Urban Warrior Princess rides again! Yay.
