So the little speedo-mounting bobbins sheared upon a very weak attempt at their removal.

My stud extractor was having none of it and also snapped.

Where next? Don't really fancy forking out for a new triple tree for the sake of a £4 bolt

If there's nothing to grip then drill/Dremel it out and run a tap down it to clean up the threads. If you're precise enough you can do so without ruining the original thread.

Ez outs aren't much use for bolts that are actually seized, they often just end up making things worse.

Worth using a little penetrant oil like Plus Gas first, if you use a left handed drill bit that's sometimes enough to loosen the bolt up in itself.
